AI Documentation Stewardship Council

The AI Documentation Stewardship Council establishes a framework for collaborative knowledge sharing and management of AI documentation resources. Our mission is to create a sustainable ecosystem where contributors and users alike benefit from shared knowledge.

2-Tier Trust Charter

Our Trust Charter is based on a simple yet powerful principle: those who contribute to the collective knowledge base also become its beneficiaries.

Tier 1: Trustors

Trustors are individuals and organizations who contribute their AI documentation, knowledge, and resources to the Trust under an MIT license. As a Trustor, you:

  • Contribute original documentation and resources related to AI knowledge management
  • License your contributions under the MIT license for use by the Trust
  • Maintain attribution rights for your original work
  • Participate in governance decisions proportional to your contributions
  • Help establish documentation standards and best practices

Tier 2: Beneficiaries

All Trustors automatically become Beneficiaries of the Trust, receiving:

  • An MIT license to use all Trust intellectual property
  • Access to the complete collection of AI documentation resources
  • The right to build upon and modify Trust resources
  • Recognition in the contributor community
  • Participation in the Council’s decision-making processes

How It Works

  1. Contribution: Contributors submit AI documentation, workflows, templates, or knowledge management resources.

  2. License Assignment: All contributions are licensed under the MIT license, allowing for broad use with attribution.

  3. Acceptance: The Stewardship Council reviews and accepts contributions based on quality standards.

  4. Beneficiary Status: Upon acceptance, contributors automatically receive beneficiary status, granting them an MIT license to all Trust-managed content.

  5. Ongoing Development: Beneficiaries can use, modify, and build upon any Trust resources, creating a virtuous cycle of knowledge enhancement.

Benefits of Participation

  • Knowledge Expansion: Access a growing repository of high-quality AI documentation resources
  • Community Support: Connect with fellow contributors and knowledge management experts
  • Simplified Licensing: Clear MIT licensing removes barriers to collaboration
  • Attribution: Receive recognition for your contributions to the knowledge base
  • Influence: Shape the future of AI documentation best practices

Joining the Stewardship Council

To become a founding member of the AI Documentation Stewardship Council:

  2. Complete the Trust Charter Agreement
  3. Submit your contribution with proper attribution and MIT license declaration
  4. Participate in the next Council governance meeting

Trust Charter Principles

The Trust operates on these core principles:

  1. Openness: Knowledge should be accessible to all contributors
  2. Attribution: Contributors deserve recognition for their work
  3. Reciprocity: Those who contribute should benefit proportionally
  4. Quality: High standards ensure valuable resources for all
  5. Sustainability: The Trust structure ensures long-term viability
